#95 – Run for Charity in Fancy Dress

After a slow start I thought it was about time I stepped it up a gear and got ticking. Time is counting down and I have only just got off the starting block, completing only 1 from my  slightly ambitious list of 101.

So the next item for me to tackle will be #95 – Run for Charity in Fancy Dress, assuming I complete the run! Its only 6 miles, so unless I trip over myself I am pretty certain to double my completion tally! The run I am taking part in is the Sport Relief London mile – well, 6 miles to be precise, raising money to help people living unimaginably tough lives, both on our doorstep in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

What fancy dress i hear you cry? Well that was an easy decision. Ask my parents what I did as a child and they will tell you one of two things. 1) run around all day in nothing but a pair of red wellington boots or 2) single handedly tackle the swarm of wasps in the valley I resided with my Ghostbuster outfit, either catching them in the ghost trap or zapping with them my proton pack!

Seeing as I would probably end up on the 6 o’clock news and/or Jeremy Kyle if I attempted a family friendly charity fun run in nothing but a pair of red wellies, i opted for the ghostbuster option, so.. on March 25th at 11:45am – I will be running the Sport Relief London (Six) mile run. Place you bets how long I will last carrying my proton pack!

If you wanted to be so kind in sponsoring me, please visit: https://my.sportrelief.com/sponsor/ghostbusters – all donations would be most appreciated.

Ill try and get photo evidence of me running in the costume, I already have the proton pack from my childhood, just need the overalls and the goggles now!
