I am alive… and I have won social media gold!

You’d be forgiven for thinking I had fallen off the planet, as for the past few months I have been some what absent.

That’s not without good reason I hasten to add, as some of you may know I have been busy working away on this global sports day which swept the nation this summer… otherwise known as the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Just over a year ago I started what is often described by my friends as “the best job in the world”, heading up the digital marketing & social media strategy for Team GB for London 2012, and my friends are not far wrong!

From royalty to athletes to ambassadors & ex Olympians, I met & learnt from the most inspiring group of people this country had to offer which led to a summer I will never forget.

I wont bore you with what I achieved from a professional level but if you are interested in reading how I won Social Media Gold for @TeamGB at London 2012, here are some links:

So what happens now? Well, as you can see I have some serious catching up to do on my list – I wrote a post earlier in the year outlining what I hoped to achieve before I left on my travels, which I am a little behind on as you will notice, but alas they all things for me to still look forward too.

Now its planning time, in just over 2 weeks I will be Kenya bound for the start of my 8 month voyage to experience new places of the world & the cultures that drive them – stay tuned to see how I am getting on.
